About Untitled Systems

Interactive Art Installation

Personal Project (2008–Present)

The system transforms text information into line art. Each of the 26 letters of the english alphabet are allocated an unique angle. The individual lines are connected together to form words.

The length of each letter corresponds to the number of letters in the word. For example, the word "Hello" contains 5 letters. The individual lines will be 5 units long, whereas for the word "He" the letters H and E, will be only 2 units long. Spaces are expressed as grey lines, running horizontally from left to right. Punctuations are expressed as dots of different colours. Words are sorted by colours randomly. for repetitive words, the same colour will be used.

Song lyrics, chorus, poems and word play can be seen visually as you can see repetitive lines and patterns when you run them in the system.
